Cheesy Hollandse Crème Sausage Wreath
Nothing screams “Holiday Party” like a festive, edible appetizer wreath made with your favorite homemade sausages nestled in a cheesy flaky crescent dough. This easy-to-make appetizer will be the star of the party leaving you with plenty of time to eat, drink, and be merry!
15 Mini sausages
2 cans crescent dough
4 cups Hollandse Crème, shredded
1 red bell pepper
1 - Cook mini sausages until browned on all sides. Transfer to dish for cooling.
2 - Preheat oven to temperature specified on crescent dough package.
3 - Unroll the crescent dough and separate at the perforations to create 4 rectangles. Press together the remaining perforation in each rectangle. With a knife or pizza cutter, cut each rectangle lengthwise into 8 strips making a total of 32 strips.
4 - Sprinkle cheese on dough. Place sausage on strip of dough and sprinkle with more cheese. Wrap dough around each sausage and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.Bake for 11-15 minutes or until golden brown.
5 - Once cooled place crescent sausages on a platter in the shape of a wreath. Cut a red bell pepper into a bow shape for garnish.
