Melkbus® Peppercorn Jalapeño Poppers

Enjoy this irresistible combination of spicy peppers and savory smoky, yet sweet Melkbus® 59 Peppercorn cheese. This delicious appetizer is full of flavor and is great for any party or family gathering!

Serves 4


1/2 lb. Melkbus®59 Peppercorn, grated & divided in half

10 Jalapeños

1/2 lb. Ground Turkey Meat

2 Tablespoons Parsley, Chopped

6 Fresh Sage Leaves, Chopped

4 Tablespoons Olive Oil

2 Tablespoons Shallots, Minced

Salt and pepper to taste


1 - Preheat oven to 350° F.

2 - Slice each pepper in half. Using a spoon, scoop out the seeds and coat with 2 tablespoons olive oil. Place each pepper on a baking sheet.

3 - In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons olive oil. Sauté shallots until soft, then add ground turkey meat until the meat is brown.

4 - In a small bowl, combine the parsley, sage, 1/4 pound of Melkbus® 59 Peppercorn cheese, salt and pepper. Stir it in the turkey mixture. Stuff each jalapeño with the mixture. Top with the remaining 1/4 pound cheese.

5 - Bake for 20 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted.
