Is an “American Classic” wine, deep red in color with a spicy, peppery and hint of fruity flavor.

Research shows that this medium-bodied red wine originated in Croatia and was then made famous in the early days of Italy and the Roman Empire. In the 1800s the wine was introduced to California where the grapes are now primarily grown. This fruit forward yet spicy wine has a medium length finish that is at its best when consumed within 1-2 years of aging.

The creamy and spicy bite that our fine-aged Uniekaas Reserve develops after 18 months stands up well to the Zinfandel’s bold flavors. Try pairing savory treats like prosciutto or kalamata olives with this duo for a well-rounded cheese experience.
